AUGUSTINA BADEA-SANDOU

is an internationally recognized Elite professional gymnast from the Romanian Olympic Team and has been performing gymnastics since the age of four. At age nine, Augustina performed at the Monte Carlo Circus Festival in Monaco as a special guest of Princess Stephanie. She has competed in more than 20 international competitions, including the 1987 McDonald’s Cup in the U.S. and the 1988 Olympics, in more than 20 counties, among them Russia, Japan, France, England, Spain, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, and the United States.

Augustina has coached for more than 15 years at several prestigious schools in the U.S., including Westchester Gymnastics and Dance in Hawthorne, NY, the International Gymnastics Academy in Menlo Park, CA, and West Valley Gymnastics School in Campbell, CA.
Augustina is especially gifted in working with children, and currently teaches gymnastics, balancing and physical development at the Sandou Circus School.
